In Spain, the recent approval of Royal Decree 244/2019, of April 5, which regulates the administrative, technical and economic conditions of the electric power self-consumption, is an important boost to the self-consumption of renewable energies. On this workshop it will be discussed how to maximize the self-consumption of renewable energy to achieve the objectives of the European Union for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The workshop has a first block where speakers at European level, large companies in the Spanish energy sector and architects of recognized prestige in the field of energy efficiency, will participate in a panel discussion providing their vision of the current energy scenery and the challenges of the near future linked to the Spanish and European energy system. In a second block, the SABINA project will be presented as an example of response to this energy context.
